…goes the old adage but does it?

Turning 40 has always been a great milestone but these days, people have so many more experiences than their parents and grandparents ever did. I’ve been lucky enough to have visited over 50 countries, I’ve walked two national trails and ascended two different world’s tallest buildings (I believe another new one is under construction). I’ve swum in the Dead Sea, taken the overnight train from Moscow to St. Petersburg and touched the Western Wall.
With this in mind, thinking up forty new experiences was not easy. While there are a few travel plans on my list, I‘ve tried to create a varied set of experiences, not a list of places to see before I’m past it.  Many will seem simple while others will be difficult to achieve and many are expensive while others are cheap or even free. I only hope to have fun and perhaps inspire people to embrace the so-called autumn of life.
