Butlin’s! Butlins, Skegness!
Not the Ibiza I was dreaming of but a 00s adult weekend booked at bigweekends.com and what a weekend we had!
Everyone goes in fancy dress so the girls from the book signing and I had to get our thinking caps on! Jenny had an epiphany and we were going as various Britneys! I was desperate to be breakdown Britney with a bald cap and umbrella but bottled it at the last minute so I got my funny out for night two! Harry Potter! I bought a pillowcase, Mark rubbed it round his Harley (and kindly washed the smell, not stains, out) and I turned some large Spock ears upside down and I was Dobby!
It’s all I heard all night. Cries of Dobby rang through Skegness Butlin’s and I loved it!
The accommodation is lovely and Butlin’s is great fun. I’ve been many times on family holidays and can’t understand why anyone turns their nose up at it!
