Go To a Dance Club

What a night!

All it took was a two and a half hour drive, a half hour tube, a ten minute walk and we were there! The infamous Ministry of Sound!

The queue was short enough and we showed our ID whilst in it so we were in before we knew what was happening and the immediate area was, well, somewhat disappointing! A DJ was playing in a booth above our heads and the whole place looked like a cheap bar where you couldn’t really dance for people queuing for drinks.

A quick exploration revealed two smaller rooms and a balcony that led to the VIP area; for which we had no access!

A perplexing two minutes later, a curtain was opened to reveal ‘The Box’. It must’ve ticked over to midnight and we were just about the first in!

It was just what we expected. A large dance floor with a towering DJ booth looking down kicking out sick beats!

We danced for seconds and then moved as much as we could for four hours. It was rammed full of people so young I was old enough to be their mother but what did I care? Jenny, Shannon and I lasted until about quarter past four which was late enough for me.

The reverse journey flew by and before I knew it, I was walking through my door at a respectable eight thirty!

It really was everything I imagined and one day, I’ll go back!
